(Perris, CA, June 21, 2011) This Saturday night, June 25th, will mark the halfway point of the 2011 season for the PASSCAR Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stocks, Super Stocks, Modifieds and the Pick-A-Part American Factory Stocks at Southern California's premiere dirt track, Perris Auto Speedway. Joining them on the card will be second ever appearance of the Senior Sprint Cars at The PAS and the CDCRA Dwarf Cars. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM and the first race will be at 5:30. Tickets will only be $9.00 for adults. Active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 will all get in for just $5.00. Children under 5 will be admitted free.

The tightest fight in the standing is currently taking place in the Super Stock class. Joseph Altig, who makes the drive up from Imperial Beach to compete, holds a one-point lead over two-time and defending series champion Chad Burns of Mira Loma. Burns has two wins in the season's first three races including the last race on May 21st. Altig has two second place finishes and a third. Desert Hot Springs driver Glen Dederick is currently third in points.

As the season reaches midway, Murrieta's Stefan Davies, seeking his first ever PAS championship, sits on top of the point heap in the Oil Twins Amsoil Street Stock Class. Thus far in 2011 Davies has a pair of third place finishes on the season and holds a 19-point lead over Perris' "Big Jake" Everhart in the championship chase. Two-time champion (2006 & 2009) Henry Wesolowski Sr. is third, just one point behind Everhart.

Three-time track champion Alan Updyke of Tustin continues to lead the points in the Modifieds. Thus far, Updyke has won the first three main events in 2011. Ramona's Cole Dick holds down the second place spot in the standings, 21 behind Updyke. Dick has been impressive thus far with two second place finishes and a fourth. El Cajon's Dwayne Dalton is third.

Hemet's Keith Wood, who is also hoping for his first ever track title, leads Moreno's Valley's Stephanie Herbage, in the Pick-A-Part Factory Stocks. Herbage, a student at Riverside Community College, beat Wood to win the first main of the year, but Wood has won the last two races and holds a 31-point advantage coming into Saturday. Tom Gillum, one half of the tracks last ever Cruiser championship team, is third in championship points.

Brian Williams of Newport Beach, who dominated the competition to win The PAS first Senior Sprint race on May 28th, will try to make it two in a row on Saturday. Sylmar's Bill Badger, who raced with the USRC Midgets back in the 1970s, placed second to Williams in the first race with Santa Ana's "Hubcap" Mike Collins third. The Senior Sprint Class is a fun class that is open to drivers 45-years-old and older. The only rule is the engine must be a 360 cast iron block, fuel injected or normally aspirated. There are no gasket, restrictor, weight or tire rules.

The CDCRA Dwarf Cars, who in addition to racing at The PAS also race at Victorville, Barona, Santa Maria and Bakersfield, will be making their second PAS showing of 2011.

K&N Filters will donate gift certificates of $100.00, $50.00 and $25.00 to the top three finishers in the four PASSCAR sanctioned main events. The driver who passes the most cars on the Street Stock main will get a $50.00 Oil Twins Dominator gift certificate and the car that passes the most in the Factory Stock main will get a $25.00 Oil Twins Dominator gift certificate. Each of those drivers will get an automatic entry into the Oil Twins Challenge on October 29th.

If the Street Stocks, Super Stocks or Modifieds have fields of 24 cars, the main event winner of the class (s) will take home $1,000.00. All PASSCAR purses are posted on the Perris Auto Speedway web site at:

Saturday's door handle to door handle night of racing will include heat races and main events for all classes.
