NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION #3 AND SPECTATOR RACES SATURDAY AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY!
(Perris, CA, July 9, 2013) Back by popular demand, Perris Auto Speedway, “The Southern California Home of Motorized Mayhem & Motorsports Fun,” will hold “Night of Destruction #3 this Saturday, July 13th. The fast-paced, fun program will feature a Figure 8 Trailer Race, Figure 8 Races, crazy Democross Races, Rollover Contest, Spectator Races and a special “Can You Beat a Redneck” race. Spectator gates for the night of motorized bedlam and family entertainment will open at 5:00 PM and the first crash will be at 7:00. Before the show, there will be an on track autograph and photo session from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.

The Nights of Destruction continue to grow. The famous Riverside County clay oval gets more fans every time they stage one. Round two in June established another attendance record for the event and promoter Don Kazarian expects that record will be shattered this Saturday.

“I have said it before, but this show amazes me,” Kazarian grinned. “It keeps getting bigger and bigger and better and better. The fans love it. It is crazy from start to finish and it is a quick show, too. Fans are usually on their way home around 9:30 PM. Everybody leaves happy.”

Kazarian continued about the makeup of the crowd.

“It is kind of funny, some of our sprint cars fans are coming out and enjoying the show,” he mused. “A lot of PASSCAR Stock Car fans have always come out for the Nights of Destruction, but the sprint car contingent is a little more fickle. For some of them to come out, say they enjoyed the show and then coming back is saying something. Plain and simple, it is just fun night for everyone.”

In addition to the wild The Figure 8 Trailer race, Figure 8 and Democross races, and rollover contest the popular Spectator races will be back on Saturday. Two cars on the track at a time. One will start in the middle of the front straight and one will start in the middle of the back straight on the track’s inner quarter-mile oval. First one to complete two laps wins and moves on in the competition. The field is cut down until there are only two drivers left and the one who wins that race is the overall winner and gets all of the prize money. The winner of that will then go on to challenge one of the PASSCAR LoanMart Street Stock drivers in the “Can You Beat a Redneck Challenge.” The challenge will be four laps. If the winner of the Spectator race beats “The Redneck”, they will earn a $400.00 bonus from OilTwins.com and Perris Auto Speedway.

Thus far “Wide Open” Wayne Williams is undefeated in the Spectator Races, but in two tries, he has yet to win the $400.00 “Redneck Challenge.” It is going to be harder for him on Saturday.

“Wayne Williams is undefeated in the Spectator races, but it is getting closer every time,” Kazarian smiled. “Last time we had a record number of entries and they are getting closer to Wayne. Maybe Saturday is the night someone takes him down, but they will have to be good as he is always on his game.”

The Figure 8 races and Figure 8 Trailer race will take place in the infield where the pits are normally located. Each of those main events will pay $500.00 based on a 10 driver minimum field.

Democross, which is practically a riot on the track’s quarter-mile oval, has virtually no rules. You can hit the car in front of you and knock him out of the way or you can wait for another car or go the opposite way on the track to take them out. That race also pays $500.00 to win. The last time out Democross had nearly 30-cars causing crowd pleasing mayhem from one side of the facility to the other.

Rounding out Saturday’s sensational show of motorsports insanity will be the annual $500.00 (based on three entries) to win roll over contest. “We have run the rollover contest the last two years and it has been interesting to say the least,” Kazarian said. “One can only wonder how wild it will be and what will happen with it this Saturday.”

For those who would like to enter any of the races, they can use the following link to get an entry blank: http://www.perrisautospeedway.com/forms/13form_nod0713.html

Adult tickets for Saturday’s bumper bustin’ night are only $12.00. For active military members with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 it is just $5.00. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
