PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY STADIUM OFF ROAD SERIES
2010 Amended Rules
(Stadium Kart Classes)

REVISED 1/28/10

Junior 1:

Clutch: Due the closure of Comet clutch we will be adding a new spec clutch that is currently being built. You will be able to run your existing Comet clutch if it works for you but will eventually need to switch over to the new billet aluminum model patterned after an 80HP rated Jr Dragster clutch. Additionally, fly wheel guards are being recommended for safety.

Junior 2: The following items will be changed:

1. Engine: The new Doug Fleming sealed spec engine is the Honda GX 390. These are electric start Honda industrial engines. They must be purchased through Doug Fleming for $1499. They are available now for purchase.

2. Clutch: A larger version of the Jr 1 aluminum billet clutch, similar in size & price to the Comet 40 and 500 Series will be required. This clutch will become available for purchase by the first part of February.

3. Engine Location: Open (still must be in rear of car behind the driver). The new motor & clutch are slightly longer. The easiest way we’ve found to fit these into a stock kart is to move the engine back. There are two ways to do this: 1. Make your rear suspension and top shock tabs 2” longer and move everything back 2” (engine mount plates are being made for this) 2. Raise the engine up and back in the kart. Do not move seats too far forward to make things fit. We want to keep the seats mounted in the chassis with optimum roll cage protection.

4. Wheelbase: Maximum is now 73”.

Modified:

1. Mudflaps: Mud flap must be made from 3/16 rubber material. When looking at the kart from the rear, no part of the tire can be exposed down to 3” from ground.

2. Engines: Engine gaskets manufacturer is open. OEM motorcycle camshafts are allowed. Valve train must remain stock. OEM quad or motorcycle valves are allowed.

3. Clutches: Open.

4. Tire size: Max tire diameter is 24”.

All Classes:

Transponders will be mounted 55 inches back from the leading edge of the front bumper along the passenger side outer panel. Raceceiver Transponders will be available for Rent from the Perris Auto Speedway for $10.00 per day.
