TRICK OR TREATING FOR KIDS AT SATURDAY’S PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY RACE!
By Scott Daloisio

(Perris, CA, October 24, 2017) When Perris Auto Speedway hosts “Champion’s Night” for the PASSCAR Stock Car Series this Saturday, October 28th, there will be something extra for younger racing fans. All kids who show up in their Halloween costumes will be allowed onto the race track at intermission and all the drivers and teams will have candy to pass out for the trick or treaters. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 P.M. and the first race will be at 7:00.

Last year the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval decided to host the ghosts and goblins for trick or treating on short notice. Despite the late announcement, the amazing amount of kids who showed up in costume was amazing and it added to their night of fun at the races.

“Last year we announced that we were inviting kids on the track for trick or treating two days before the show,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “We figured we would only have a couple dozen show up in costume with such a late notice. We ended up with several hundred kids in costume and they had a great time walking on the track, looking at the cars, meeting the drivers and of course, collecting a lot of candy. In addition to the fun, it is a safe way for kids to trick or treat. The kids and their parents loved it. I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or the drivers.”

The trick or treating will not be the only fan participation part of Saturday’s show. Fans are being urged to bring American flags for the opening ceremony which will feature all the cars and drivers with American flags on the front straightaway for the National Anthem.

On the track, the drivers listed below will be fighting for the championships in their respective classes. Like the final NASCAR race of the year, there will be full fields in each class and the highest placing finisher from the drivers listed will be crowned champion of their respective classes.
