IT IS FINALLY TIME FOR LKQ PICK YOUR PART NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY! By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, April 23, 2018) The track is ready! The drivers are ready! The fans are ready! This Saturday night they will all get what they have been ready for when LKQ Pick Your Part presents “Night of Destruction #” at Perris Auto Speedway. Known as the “Craziest Show on Dirt,” the show will feature crazy Figure 8 racing, a wild Figure 8 Trailer race, insane Democross and Formula-X Autocross & CrossKart racing. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 P.M. and the first race will start at 7:00. The competitors and fans have chomping at the bit as it has been nearly eight months since the last Night of Destruction” at the famous Riverside County racing facility located on the SoCal Fair and Event Center (Lake Perris Fairgrounds). Initially, the first “Night of Destruction” on the schedule for the year was last month. However, Mother Nature unleashed her fury with pounding rain and unseasonably cold temperatures forcing promoter Don Kazarian to cancel the event. The forecast for this Saturday is quite the opposite with great weather predicted for the great night of action. The cancelation actually helped several of the racers who did not have their cars ready for the first show. Most of those drivers will be ready for Saturday and they will meet the toughest competitors The PAS has to offer. Included in the field will be 2017 champions Overall Iron Man (all three classes combined) & Figure 8 champion Jesse Gordon of Banning, Demo Cross champ Garrett McCourt of Romoland and 2017 Trailer Figure 8 champion Ken McWilliams of Menifee. If those star drivers are not enough, champions from previous years who will be racing on Saturday are legendary Earl Cox of Norco, Ryan Kinnett of Nuevo and Norco’s David Holmes. Soon after the gates open, there will be an on-track autograph and photo session where fans can meet, get the autographs, take photos and most of all, get to know all of the drivers. The autograph session will begin at 5:15. In addition to the racing, some professional racers who will be in town for Sunday’s Wrestle Fair on the SoCal and Event Center (http://wrestlefair.com/) to put on a sneak preview match at intermission and to sign autographs. “It is going to be a fun, cannot miss night with a lot of racing, a bunch of crashing and some wrestling, too,” promoter Don Kazarian said with a wide grin. “Night of Destruction has turned into our most popular show over the last four or five years. It has grown bigger than we could ever imagine and we think it is going to have even more extensive growth in 2018. Fans who come out one time, know why. It is wild and they (fans) are instantly hooked.” Adult tickets for Saturday are $15.00. Active military with proper id, teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 get in for just $5.00.
