PERRIS
AUTO SPEEDWAY RELEASES 2019 SCHEDULE
By Scott
Daloisio
(Perris, CA, November 11, 2018)
Perris Auto Speedway has released the
schedule for the 2019 season. The track’s
24th season opener will be on February 9th
and will feature the PASSCAR Stock Car
Series and the IMCA Modifieds. The same
cars will close the campaign nine months
later on November 16th.
The first
sprint car race of the year will feature
the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, Amsoil
USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and The PAS Senior &
Young Gun Sprints on March 9th. All told
there will be 10 nights of sprint car
racing in 2019. Included on the sprint car
portion of the calendar will be the Sokola
Shootout on April 13th, the Salute to Indy
on May 25th, California Racers Hall of
Fame Night on August 17th, Glenn Howard
Classic on September 21st and the 24th
Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals Presented
by All Coast Construction on November 7th,
8th and 9th.
Like the
PASSCAR/Modified shows, the popular Night
of Destruction will be on the schedule
eight times in 2019. The first will take
place on February 23rd and their finale
will be on September 28th. The highlight
for N.O.D. will be on July 4th with racing
and fireworks.
The only
additional classes in 2019 will be a full
season for the Mini Stocks and the brand
new Double Deckers. Both will compete at
every Night of Destruction. The Mini
Stocks had a successful two-race debut at
the final two N.O.D. events in 2018. The
Double Deckers will feature a full-size
sedan with a compact car strapped to the
top. The driver in the vehicle on the
bottom will control the throttle and the
brakes and the driver in the car on top
will do the steering.
