NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION AND FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY JULY 4TH – CITY OF PERRIS RESIDENTS FREE By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, June 30, 2019) Perris Auto Speedway will be prepped and ready for its biggest event of the year on Thursday, July 4th when LKQ Pick Your Part Presents “Night of Destruction #4,” and the City of Perris Proudly Presents the “4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza.” Spectator gates will open at 4:00 P.M. on the midweek holiday and the first race will be at 7:00. (Attached photo of the Double Deckers courtesy of Doug Allen) As has become a tradition at the famous Riverside County racing facility, the City of Perris is teaming up with the track and every Perris family will receive four free tickets to the show. All they have to do to receive the tickets is show proof of residency like a driver’s license or utility bill at the ticket window on the 4th. It will be a full evening of fun and racing thrills beginning when the spectator gates open at 4:00 P.M. As soon as the gates open, fans will be able to get autographs, take photos and meet all the drivers. In addition, there will be games and contests for kids to participate in on the front straightaway with the drivers. Racing will include daredevil Figure 8 races, a wild Figure 8 Trailer race, crazy Democross, insane Double Decker races and Mini Stocks. At 9:00 P.M. the gigantic fireworks show will light up the Riverside County sky. “The City of Perris and the track have worked together for more than 10 years to provide this extravaganza,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “It’s been a great partnership. We love hosting our neighbors on our nation’s birthday. Without a doubt this is one of the best fireworks shows in Riverside County.” An addition to the show this year will come from the drivers themselves. They have gotten together and purchased more than 10 kids bicycles that will be raffled off on the night. Every cent raised by the raffle will go straight to the American Cancer Society. “What can you say about the drivers getting involved again this year,” Kazarian said. “Driver Ken McWilliams had an idea for a bicycle raffle last year with all of the proceeds going to the track’s annual drive to raise money to fight cancer. Other drivers jumped on the bandwagon and it was a huge success. So, we are raffling off brand new kids bicycles again this year. A huge thank you to all of the drivers involved.” There will be plenty of tickets available at the track on race night. Adult General Admission tickets are $20.00. For active military members with proper id and their spouse or date, it is just $5.00 each. For teens 13-18 with their school id and kids 6-12 it is also just $5.00. Children 5 and under are free. Reserved seats, which are the top three rows in the main grandstands, are available for $30.00 for adults and $10.00 for children.
