PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY ADDS PURSE MONEY FOR PASSCAR/IMCA SHOWS
By Scott Daloisio

(Perris, CA, March 25, 2020) In these days with talks of stimulus packages on everyone’s mind, Perris Auto Speedway is pleased to announce that when racing begins, it will be offering a stimulus package to drivers in the PASSCAR Street Stock and American Factory Stock Classes as well as the IMCA Modifieds. The main event winner in the Street Stock and Modified classes will receive a guaranteed $1,000.00 at all races. And, for the first time, the American Factory Stocks will be racing for a purse.

In mid-January, track promoter Don Kazarian announced that the Super Stock class would be racing for $1,000.00 to win each main event no matter what the size of the car count is. He is pleased to announce that the same will now apply for the Street Stocks and IMCA Modifieds when the Riverside County half-mile clay oval begins its historic 25th anniversary season.

“The Perris Auto Speedway has decided to provide its own racing stimulus package once this crisis is over,” Kazarian said on Wednesday morning. “When we get back to racing, and we will, the IMCA Modifieds and the PASSCAR Street Stocks will be running for a first-place payout of $1,000 per race for the 2020 season no matter what the car count is.”

The PASSCAR American Factory Stocks became a part of The PAS racing program in 2008 and it has always been a trophy class. For the grassroots racing division, which is heading into its 13th season, that will no longer be the case. This year the top three drivers in each factory Stock main event will get paid.

“The top three places in the PASSCAR American Factory Stocks will receive a payout in 2020,” Kazarian said. “It will be $300 for first place, $200 for second-place and $100 for third.”

Fans of the PASSCAR and IMCA Modified Series at the track can rest assured that despite the interruption in the schedule, they will get their full season of racing in.

“We plan on running the entire PASSCAR and IMCA series this year,” the longtime promoter avowed from behind his desk. “Once we all know this crisis is coming to an end, the Speedway will publish a revised 2020 schedule.”

Kazarian also wanted to send out wishes to everyone involved from the fans, to the drivers, sponsors and officials.

“We hope everyone is safe and sound as we go through this historic awful event,” he said. “We hope to see everyone back at the speedway soon. God Bless everyone!”
