FOUR MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS DECIDED AT PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY
By Scott Daloisio

(Perris, CA, November 17, 2021) Perris Auto Speedway crowned champions in four more classes last Saturday night. The four classes were the PASSCAR Super Stocks, Street Stocks, American Factory Stocks, and Modifieds.

The track will close its 25th Anniversary season this Saturday, November 20th, when LKQ Pick Your Part Presents Night of Destruction with Figure 8 Racing, a Figure 8 Trailer Race, Mini Stock, Demo Cross, zany Double Deckers and an al- female “Powder Puff Demolition Derby.” Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Racing will start a half hour earlier than normal at 6:30. It will be your last chance to see racing at The PAS until March of 2022.

If the track had a “Driver of the Year Award,” it would most certainly go to Billy Griffin. The Buena Park, California driver sewed up the track’s IMCA Modified title in September. Last Saturday, he swept the show in the PASSCAR Super Stocks and Modifieds to capture those titles as well. He thus became the first driver in the tracks Stock Car racing classes to win three separate championships in one season. Those titles will go well with his 2013 PASSCAR Modified championship.

Joining the list of champions at The PAS for the first time is Brandon Kelly. The Moreno Valley driver captured his first track championship in the Street Stocks. Joining Griffin and Kelly on this year’s honor roll is Cameron Veatch of Temecula who won the track’s American Factory Stock title for the third straight year.
