FINAL 2023 NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION AT
PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

									  By Scott Daloisio
									    (Perris, CA, October 18, 2023)
This Saturday night, October 21st, LKQ
Pick Your Part will present the final
Night of Destruction in 2023 at Perris
Auto Speedway. It will be the last chance
for fans to see “The Craziest Show On
Dirt” until next February. The fast-paced
program of clean family entertainment will
feature daring Figure 8 Racing, no-rules
Mini Stocks on the challenging road
									  course, Mini Stock Figure 8s,
									  no-holds-barred Demo Cross, a Figure 8
Trailer Race, and of course, the crowd
									  favorite Double Deckers. Spectator gates
for the finale will open at 5:00 p.m. and
the first crash will take place at 7:00.
Fans are urged to come out early and
join the on-track autograph and free candy
giveaway session with all of the drivers
and cars from 5:15 through 5:45 for one
last time in 2023. In addition to signing
autographs and passing out candy, drivers
will be posing for photos and many will
allow fans to sit in their cars.

“Night of Destruction has had another
great season in 2023,” promoter Don
Kazarian said on Monday. “We owe huge
thanks to our long-time sponsor LKQ Pick
Your Part. They have been a part of our
racing family since day one and are the
longtime sponsor of Night of Destruction.
Big thanks to the drivers and crews for
working diligently to put on such a great
show. Also, thanks to all of the loyal
fans who come out to see the motorized
mayhem every time we stage Night of
Destruction. We could not do it without
any of them. Thank you all.” Going
into Saturday’s finale, the mini stock
points race is close. Riverside’s Kris
Martin has a narrow six-point lead over
Corey Denny who lives in Hemet. Martin is
also the leader in the mini stock figure
8s. All he has to do in the mini figure 8s
to sew up that title is start the main
									  event.
Earl Cox of Norco looks to
be headed towards his third Perris Figure
8 championship. The champion in 2015 and
2021 won the fair race last Saturday
night. He is being chased by last season’s
champion Roger Storey of Riverside, “The
Love Doctor,” Anthony Guisa of Norwalk and
the driver of the popular Batmobile car
Jesse Gordon of Beaumont. If Cox prevails,
he will only be the second driver in PAS
history to win three-figure 8 titles. The
other three-time champ on the crisscross
track is Gordon who won the crown in 2017,
									  2018, and 2019.
  Demo Cross racing
has been all about Trebor Stephens of San
Jacinto in 2023. The driver has been
picture-perfect all season long with his
uncanny ability to stay out of the Demo
Cross chaos. He added some icing to his
potential championship cake by winning the
main event at the Southern California Fair
									  on Sunday night.
  Bryce Wade Pack is
leading the way in the Iron Man standings
(overall points for all classes combined)
going into the finale. The “Bug Ya’
Later,” which is driven by Lonnie Skillman
and Don McCall of Riverside, leads the way
in the Double Deckers. Riverside’s Josh
Foote won the only Figure 8 Trailer race
of the year and has a two-point lead over
									  defending champ Michael Schattilly of
									  Whittier.
  Adult tickets for
									  Saturday’s Night of Destruction are
$20.00. For kids 6-12 it is just $5.00 and
children 5 and under are free. The
									  fairgrounds charge $10.00 for parking.
There will be plenty of tickets available
for everyone, this event will not sell
									  out.
  After Saturday night, The PAS
will have two nights of racing before the
curtain comes down on its 27th season. On
October 28th it will be Jerry Dodd
Champion’s Night for the PASSCAR Street
Stocks, Super Stocks, and American Factory
Stocks. The Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars,
PAS Senior & Young Gun Sprints, and the
									  POWRi Southwest Lightning Sprints will
stage the last race of the year on
									  November 11th.
  Advance tickets for
every regular race at The PAS are
available until 7:00 p.m. on race day
									  online at

									  https://www.tix.com/ticket-sales/pas/7
or by calling 1-800-595-4849. For fans who
do not wish to buy advance tickets, there
