LKQ PICK YOUR PART NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION RETURNS TO PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY, MARCH 15 By Scott Daloisio (Perris, CA, March 11, 2025) It is that time again when this Saturday Night, March 15th, Perris Auto Speedway hosts “The Craziest Show on Dirt,” Night of Destruction, presented by LKQ Pick Your Part. The show, which promises fun for the whole family, will feature a variety of thrilling and daring events. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM, allowing early arrivers to get the best seats and enjoy pre-show activities. The first crash is scheduled to take place at 7:05, kicking off an evening of exhilarating entertainment. Night of Destruction chaos captured by Doug Allen. Fans are urged to come out early and take advantage of half price Budweiser Beers and two for the price of one Pepsi’s from 5:00 to 6:00. In addition, from 5:15 through 5:45, fans will be allowed onto the track to meet all of the drivers, get an up close look at the cars, take photos, get autographs, and get free candy for all of the kids who arrive early. Included in the night of automotive chaos will be: · Figure 8 Races: Watch as drivers navigate the intersecting track with skill and precision. · Crazy Figure 8 Trailer Race: Experience the chaos as vehicles tow trailers through the challenging figure 8 course. · No Holds Barred Demo Cross: Expect the unexpected in this unrestrained and action-packed race. · Mighty Mini Stocks: Feel the excitement as mini stocks tackle the challenging road course. · Zany Double Deckers: Enjoy the hilarity and excitement of vehicles stacked one on top of the other racing on the track. At the season opener in March, Jesse Gordon of Beaumont, a respiratory therapist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Riverside, drove his Batmobile late model to win the figure 8 main over four-time track champion Earl Cox of Norco. In the mini stocks, the Riverside trio of Darin Green, 2023 class champion Kris Martin, and Steven Green Jr. occupied the first three spots. Defending champion Bug Ya’ Later won the main event in the double deckers. The demo cross main saw Erin Wayland, in her first ever demo cross race, drive her bright pink SUV to the win. In doing so, she became the first woman to win a rough and tumble demo cross main event at The PAS. To add icing on the cake, she beat her husband Brett, who finished second. Third place behind the Corona couple was their good friend, Alex Kiss of Riverside. The only controversy of the night came in the figure 8 trailer main event. The competition, known for its exhilarating chaos and intense rivalries, took an unexpected turn when the top three finishers were disqualified due to rules infractions. The violations that led to their disqualification were quite varied and surprising: one car had four-wheel drive, another was equipped with chains, and the third did not have a boat or prop on its trailer. These infractions were significant enough to alter the outcome of the race dramatically. As a result, San Jacinto racers Nicholas Hoffarth and Kyle Hoffarth, who had crossed the finish line in fourth and fifth places respectively, were elevated and received the first and second place points. Following this week’s Night of Destruction, the popular Kubota High Limits Sprint Car Series will make its only Perris Auto Speedway appearance of 2025 on March 22nd.
