Mother Nature Scores Knockout Win Over Perris Auto Speedway’s Season Ender By Scott Daloisio Perris, California — November 24, 2025 — In a scene reminiscent of George Foreman hammering Joe Frazier in Kingston, Jamaica in 1973, Mother Nature unleashed a barrage of heavy blows on Perris Auto Speedway over a relentless 10-day span. Her final knockout shot came late last Thursday, forcing the cancellation of last Saturday’s Pick Your Part Night of Destruction and officially bringing the 2025 season to a close. Despite being battered by storms the previous Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, promoter Don Kazarian still held a faint hope last Wednesday that the show might survive. But another fierce storm pummeled the facility Thursday night, turning the infield—home to three of the five Night of Destruction divisions—into a miniature Lake Perris and transforming the outside pit area into a soggy quagmire. “After the fourth storm of the week, we had to cancel Pick Your Part Night of Destruction,” Kazarian said on Friday morning. “All advanced tickets will be refunded at tix.com.” “We want to congratulate all the champions in this year’s series and look forward to presenting this ‘Greatest Show On Dirt’ in our 30th Anniversary season in 2026,” Kazarian continued. “The 2026 season schedule will be released soon. Happy Holidays to our competitors and fans and we look forward to seeing them in 2026.” The 2026 season is slated to open in February.
