Sprint Cars, Stock Cars, Bicycle Giveaways, Kids Dance Battle and More This Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway By Scott Daloisio Perris, California — July 7, 2026 — Perris Auto Speedway will be the place to be for exciting dirt-track racing and family fun when Heimark Distributors Anheuser Busch presents the Avanti Windows and Doors USAC/CRA Sprint Cars and PASSCAR Stock Cars this Saturday night, July 11. In addition to a full night of wheel-to-wheel racing, fans will be treated to a Kids Dance Battle at intermission, T-shirt launches, Heat Race Heroes contests, bicycle giveaways, and an autograph session with former Mexican National Speedway Champion Steve Ostling. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 p.m., and the fun will begin immediately with Ostling signing autographs and chatting with fans in front of the track’s sports bar. Cars will hit the track soon after for wheel packing, hot laps, and sprint car qualifying. Opening ceremonies will begin at 7:00, with the first race taking the green flag at 7:05. “The main events have been great this year,” promoter Don Kazarian said. “In the sprint cars, we have had three different winners in four races. RJ Johnson, the two-time champion and current point leader, is the only driver with more than one win at the track this year. He won in February and May. Ricky Lewis won in March, and last month it was Brody Roa.” “Like a lot of teams, Brody was waiting on an engine to be finished,” Kazarian continued. “He finally got it in May, and in the starts since, he has been a rocket ship. He finished second to RJ at the Salute to Indy and won the last time out.” “We also have two newer guys in the series who have been lights out lately, Kazarian continued. “RJ’s teammate, Connor Lundy, finished second in the last two races, and Cole Wakim has steered one of the Inland Rigging cars to third in each of those events. They are both very talented, and both are big-time threats to the veterans.” In the PASSCAR Stock Car classes, Victorville’s Rick Arringdale in the Super Stocks, and Chad Mahony of Yorba Linda in the Street Stocks are the point leaders. In the Factory Stocks, Andrew Schmitz and Cameron Broe are tied for the point lead. Arringdale, who is seeking his third track championship and first since 2001, brings in an 11-point lead over another longtime PAS champion, “Hot Rod” John Caley of Glen Avon. Steven Welch of Beaumont, George Leventis of Rancho Palos Verdes, and Blaine Whitson of Temecula are third through fifth. Unlike Arringdale, Mahony is chasing his first track title in the Street Stocks. He enters Saturday night with a seven-point lead over Leventis. Mahony’s teammates Morgan Rowlan and Shaun Estes of Riverside are third and fourth, with Colton’s Justin Dunn fifth. The tightest championship battle of the season is in the Factory Stocks. In a rare occurrence, the top four drivers are separated by only one point. That is right — one point! Broe and Schmitz, both of Ramona, are tied for the lead with 54 points. Three-time champion David Stites of Canyon Lake and 2023 champion Kris Carnish of Menifee are tied just one point behind with 53. James Keller of Oak Hills, who blew an engine at the last race, is fifth in the standings and still only six points out of the lead. On July 18, the famous Riverside County speed plant will host the PAS 600cc Winged Restricted, Winged A-Class Micro Sprints, and Junior Micro Sprints for the first time. The final event of the month will take place on July 25, when the wildly popular Night of Destruction returns for another evening of hard-hitting, family-friendly racing excitement. Gates for all shows will open at 5:00 p.m., with racing at 7:00. The only authorized agent for advance tickets to PAS events is tix.com.
